Media Credentials

Applications for media credentials to cover the 2025 Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, August 30-31, 2025 at Nashville Superspeedway will be open soon. The deadline for application submission is Wednesday, August 13 by 5 pm CT. Only representatives from legitimate, accredited media outlets will be considered for working credentials.

 

To apply, submit an official request on your outlet’s letterhead, signed by an assigning editor, producer or director. Freelancers must be on assignment from a recognized media organization actively covering the event or a pre-approved story. Requests from individual social media pages or freelance-run websites designed for profit will not be accepted. Freelancers may not submit credential requests on behalf of an outlet. All requests must come directly from an assigning editor or general manager.

 

The infield Media Center, located within the track, provides high-speed internet and meals for working press throughout race weekend.

Event organizers reserve the right to request additional documentation before finalizing accreditation. Specific credentials are required to access the infield media center and press box during race weekend.

General Information

CREDENTIAL PICK-UP LOCATION (Arriving on State Route 452 via Interstate 840) 

The credential trailer on race weekend is located on the southeast corner of the property off Sterling Marlin Drive, and just like the drivers, you will make a lot of left turns to get there. After exiting I-840 onto SR 452 East (Bill France Blvd.), travel approximately one mile passing the track and turn left onto Darrell Waltrip Drive. Take another immediate left onto Sterling Marlin Drive where you will see signs directing you the credential trailer and parking lot on the left.

 

DATELINE / ADDRESS

 

The official dateline for Nashville Superspeedway is Lebanon, Tenn.

 

The official address for Nashville Superspeedway is 4847-F McCrary Road, Lebanon, TN 37090.

 

INFIELD ACCESS

 

To enter the Nashville Superspeedway infield, you will need to utilize the tunnel located between Turns 3 & 4 via tram/shuttle, golf cart or by foot. Proper credentials will be needed to enter the infield (Hard Card or track issued credential). NSS provides a golf cart shuttle service for media, Team PR, and photographers who need to make their way to the press box, grandstands, or to their parked vehicle in Lot 4 along the backstretch.

 

INFIELD MEDIA CENTER (credential required)

 

The Infield Media Center is located directly underneath the scoring pylon and adjacent to Victory Lane. Media, Photographers, and Team PR members will be granted access to the media center with proper credentials. The media center provides workspace for Media, Photographers and Team PR persons. Parking for the Infield Media Center is located in Lot 4.

 

DEADLINE ROOM (credential required)

 

The main room in the Infield Media Center is reserved for media outlets on deadline and major INDYCAR-traveling outlets. All interviews during race weekend will take place in the Deadline Room.

 

PHOTOGRAPHER WORK ROOM (credentials required)

 

A separate room is provided for photographers adjacent to the Deadline Room in the Infield Media Center. Space is available for approximately 60 photographers. The room is complete with wireless internet.  Internet, television monitors and lockers are available in the lobby of the Infield Media Center.

 

INTERVIEWS

 

There are numerous opportunities for driver interviews during an event weekend and they vary from series to series.

 

All driver interviews will be held in the deadline room of the Infield Media Center. INDYCAR will hold media availability during the early part of the race weekend to preview the action. Additional press conferences will be held after practice, qualifying and the race. 

 

Media looking for individual driver interviews should contact the respective team PR representatives.

 

PRESS KITS AND MEDIA GUIDES

 

Individual team press kits are available in the Infield Media Center. Information on INDY NXT by Firestone and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES can be found HERE.

 

RACE STATISTICS AND NOTES

 

INDYCAR will supply the media center with various statistical information, advisories and updates during their respective event. Copies also will be available in the bins located at the front entrance of the deadline room.

 

PRESS CONFERENCES

Media members are encouraged to attend all press conferences in the media center. All cell phones are to be turned off during press conferences. A schedule of press conferences is available on the screen in the lobby of the media center.

 

ROOF ACCESS

No one is allowed on the roof of the media center at any time during race weekend. If you need to access the roof to hook up phone lines for a radio remote, you must do this before race weekend. This policy will be strictly enforced.

 

TELEVISIONS

Televisions will provide a live feed from the track, live timing and scoring and announcements for the media. Televisions are to remain on assigned channels at all times.
