Saturday nights in Music City have a reputation of their own. The scene on Lower Broadway in downtown Nashville is a one-of-a-kind mix of live music, neon and energy.
But the Saturday night before the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix, on a rolling grass hill outside Nashville Superspeedway in nearby Lebanon, Tennessee, delivers a party with a unique vibe all its own.
The newest INDYCAR race weekend tradition in Nashville enters its second year in 2026, as the Saturday Night Pit Stop provides an exclusive gathering for fans camped at Nashville Superspeedway for the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix. Part campfire and part tailgate, with NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers thrown in for good measure, the party proved to be one of the memorable moments of 2025.
“It was such a good way to see the fans,” driver of the No. 3 Team Penske Chevrolet Scott McLaughlin said. “There’s always such a cool vibe among all the race fans. They don’t always know everyone when they go out there, they just meet people and end up being pretty good friends.”
Regardless of their campsite location, fans were invited to gather in the Glades Campground Saturday night after the gates to Nashville Superspeedway closed. The festivities included a campfire with s’mores, yard games and a chance to meet drivers in a more casual setting.
“We went out to a bonfire, and I played cornhole. I brought my dog, Kodak, with me,” drive of the No. 14 AJ Foyt Racing Chevrolet Santino Ferrucci said. “He got to run around and eat a lot of treats from people, so he had a good time, too.”
In addition to the festivities, fans had the opportunity to hop on the tram for an exclusive track tour where the drivers answered questions and discussed what makes racing on Nashville Superspeedway’s 1.33-mile concrete oval unique. The tour concluded with a chance to sign the track wall at the start/finish line.
“If you like the quiet camping, this is the trip for you,” Ferrucci explained. “Nashville’s very laid back, as far as camping goes. They leave the party in the city… until race day.”
Securing a Nashville Superspeedway campsite is the only way to be invited to the 2026 edition of the Saturday Night Pit Stop. Camping spots, grandstand seats and more can be purchased at musiccitygp.com.
