NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Just under 50 days.

From May 31 to July 19, Nashville Superspeedway will transform from hosting a NASCAR tripleheader weekend to welcoming the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES -- a rapid turnaround that highlights the venue’s growing prominence in American motorsports.

The summer of 2026 marks the third consecutive year the 1.33-mile concrete oval in Lebanon, Tennessee, has hosted both the NASCAR Cup Series and the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, placing Nashville Superspeedway in rare company.

Nashville Superspeedway is one of only four venues in the country to host North America’s premier stock car and open-wheel racing series, joining Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Phoenix Raceway and World Wide Technology Raceway outside St. Louis.

“We’re incredibly proud of what this event has become alongside our partners at Nashville Superspeedway,” said Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix President Anne Fischgrund. “What started as a new chapter for INDYCAR in Middle Tennessee has quickly grown into one of the most unique weekends in motorsports. The team at NSS shares our vision for delivering a first-class experience and that partnership continues to elevate the event for our fans, teams and sponsors every year.”

Nashville Superspeedway first opened in 2001 and hosted INDYCAR through 2008, alongside NASCAR’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and Craftsman Truck Series. After sitting dormant from 2012-2020, Speedway Motorsports, Inc. spearheaded Nashville’s return to the national racing spotlight.

NASCAR brought the Cup Series back to the market in 2021 and INDYCAR returned to the facility in 2024 after the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix relocated from downtown Nashville because of construction on the new Nissan Stadium.

The move created an opportunity for Nashville Superspeedway to establish itself as one of the few destinations capable of hosting two of the biggest motorsports properties within the same summer.

“We’re proud to play a major role in the continued growth of motorsports in Middle Tennessee,” said Matt Greci, Speedway Motorsports senior vice president and general manager of Nashville Superspeedway. “To host NASCAR and INDYCAR within weeks of each other speaks to the strength of this facility, our staff and the passion of race fans across the region. These are marquee events that drive tremendous energy and economic impact for our community and we’re committed to making each race weekend bigger and better than the last.”

In just 48 days between the departure of NASCAR Cup Series haulers and the arrival of INDYCAR transporters for Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix practice and qualifying on July 18, fans in Middle Tennessee will experience two of the most competitive and diverse forms of racing anywhere in the world -- all at the same track.

“It’s exciting to see how much momentum motorsports has in Nashville right now,” Fischgrund said. “Fans are embracing this event in a big way, and 2026 is shaping up to be our most exciting year yet. We have several major announcements still to come that will add even more entertainment, energy and fan engagement to race weekend. None of it would be possible without partners like Nashville Superspeedway and the commitment they’ve made to growing this event alongside us.”
