2024 Race Winner Colton Herta Helps Reveal New Trophy Design at the Gibson Garage Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 31, 2025) – Honoring the musical legacy and rhythm of Nashville, the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot and Gibson today announced a renewed partnership for the upcoming INDYCAR Championship weekend, August 30-31 at Nashville Superspeedway. With today’s announcement, Gibson and race representatives unveiled the latest design one of racing’s most iconic and unique trophies — a custom-made Gibson guitar — awarded exclusively to the winner of Sunday’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES 2025 season finale at the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot.

Gibson, the world‘s most famous guitar manufacturer and a staple of Nashville‘s music scene for generations, created the coveted Victory Lane hardware for the race winner in North America’s premier open-wheel racing series. The driver that hoisted the special Gibson guitar winner’s trophy last season was on hand to help reveal the new-for-2025 design today at the iconic Gibson Garage Nashville global flagship store in downtown Nashville. Andretti Global driver Colton Herta, winner of the 2024 Music City Grand Prix and a former Nashville resident, helped reveal the one-of-a-kind trophy that will await this year’s race winner after 225 thrilling laps on the fast Nashville Superspeedway oval.

Herta, currently ranked seventh in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES championship standings, was joined at the unveiling by Gibson Chief Financial Officer Mark Taylor, Scott Borchetta, Founder of Big Machine Label Group and Borchetta Bourbon and Anne Fischgrund, President of the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot, underscoring the powerful pairing of motorsports and music that is unique to Nashville.

“We are so excited to once again partner with Gibson Guitars to create this very special trophy that will honor the winner of Sunday’s NTT INDYCAR SERIES race at the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot,” said Fischgrund. “Nothing symbolizes the spirit and the passion of Music City more than a Gibson guitar and we can’t wait to celebrate this year’s race winner at Nashville Superspeedway with one of the most unique trophies in all of motorsports.”

Today’s trophy unveiling marks the second consecutive year that Gibson Guitars has partnered with the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot to create the special race winner’s trophy. Unlike any other stop on the INDYCAR circuit, Nashville offers a prize that is as soulful as it is symbolic in a handcrafted, custom-painted Gibson guitar that embodies the spirit of Music City and the precision of NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing.

“Gibson is honored to partner for our second year with Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot and to deliver the instantly recognizable guitar trophy to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES race winner,” says Mark Taylor Chief Financial Officer at Gibson. “The skill of drivers fused with competition and engineering technology create an infectious energy on the ground that has produced some of the most passionate fans in the racing industry for this ever-growing motorsport.”

Rooted in a legacy of craftsmanship and innovation, Gibson – the iconic global instrument brand synonymous with music culture – designs the tools that have shaped generations of sound. Headquartered in Nashville, Gibson has a storied history of celebrating champions in motorsports. The guitar trophy has become a globally recognized symbol of triumph, artistry and the unique fusion of speed and sound that defines the Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix presented by WillScot.
